Release Notes:
Funky Bastards is the first release resulting from a collaboration between the two Etage Noir masterminds Parov Stelar and Wolf Myer. Live gigs at numerous national and international festivals like the Jazzfest Wiesen or the Wilsonic Festival Bratislava give proof of the Wolf Myer Orchestra´s ability to rock the spot. Their energetic interpretations of Parov Stelar´s songs are embraced by concert-goers and music media alike.
Several well-known musicians contributed to the production of the two songs:
The legendary Hot Pants Road Club played a major role when recording Funky Bastard. The powerful vocals were performed by Eva Klampfer aka Lilith, the lead singer of the Wolf Myer Orchestra.
Next To Me features the outstanding vocalist and funkmaster Hubert Tubbs, who already performed for names like Jestofunk, Tower Of Power, Quincy Jones, Santana or The Grateful Dead.
This release also includes remixes by no others than The Dining Rooms and Ed Royal & Enne, both transforming the songs into hot club tracks for maximum impact on the dancefloor.
Funky Bastards is the first preview of the Wolf Myer Orchestra´s debut album, which also emerged from a collaboration with Parov Stelar. The longplayer will be released in January 2007.
